Last night was board game night. We ended up playing Niagara, Around the World in 80 Days, and Thurn and Taxis. I had not played any of the games before and they are all great. I will be purchasing Thurn and Taxis in the near future, it was that good. Chuck, his wife, and son joined Ted, his wife and I. Additionally a “Gamien” girl, whose name has escaped me, joined us for Niagara. The boys lost Niagara, and I came in last on Around the World in 80 days. Ted kicked our butts in Thurn and Taxis. A good time was had by all. Niagara is one of the funnest games I’ve ever played as it has an “over the falls” mechanic which literally pushes you off the board.
Sunday Ted, Rebecca, Wendy Wolk-Ryan, me, and Chuck’s family will be all gathering together to watch over the store and play a bunch of board games. First on the list is Iron Dragon, which I’ve heard very good things about and look forward to playing.
